Our KLSE stock markets have performed nicely since the lows in early March 2011. We are up almost 5% from the low @ 1476 in late Feb 2011. However, it looks like this was a short term event at least until US Federal Reserve stopping QE2. While the down market season is still months away, it is time to bring the defense out.
We cannot ignored what the US Federal Reserve has done i.e. lowering rates to suppress the the true cost of money. Have you notice the recent raising food prices ? Two weeks ago, I took my family to a local restaurant in P.J. for normal, decent meal, my God ! Without any warning, they raised the food prices by 8%-10%. "What happened?" I asked the restaurant owner (I frequently patron her restaurant). Her reasons are the same - it is the labour costs, the raising wheat and meat prices.
