Dear Readers,

We're 6 mths into 2011 and the global events shown so far are undoing decades of history. We have Middle East crisis, Earthquake in Japan, Euro Crisis and floodings of the US major rivers. And yet for most part of the world stock market, the adage "Sell in May & Go Away" holds true but in the KLSE the opposite occurred. Our KLSE registered a positive +2% gain mth-t0-mth while the US DJIA make a negative -2% mth-to-mth. There are no sure way to make $$$ in the stock market and be careful of any pundits/experts including us who can tell that their systems work 100% of the time.

Interesting enough, a study done by University of California Philip Tetlock shown that the pundits managed
to pick 1/3 of the answers right. What's more he found that the most famous pundits averaged low score & consistently making overblown of forecasts. In other words, anybody is as good as anyone. The local newspaper journalists are as good as the professors. Remember, anything is possible - "the famous black swan quote" by Nicholas Taleb, said that we as humans tend to underestimate the impact of outliers - the extreme events that most people cannot predict e.g. like the Japan earthquake.
