Setting Long Term Trading/Investing Goals 

 

Dear Readers, I began to examine my own experience in creating & setting long term trading/investing goals. I talked with dozens of people: average investors/traders, better-than-average investors and super investors/traders.    Each person taught me something. I began to notice a common pattern.   Do you want to know ? Readers   Mindset : Our brain "hard-wired" to Fail   From the day we were born Let me share with you a whole way of thinking about money and it is a proven method of building your wealth.    Most of what we know about money is often based upon false assumptions.   False Assumption #1: Get a Good Education, Having a Job is Good and Leads ultimately to wealth   I am sure you have heard this one before and still many of us including our parent and parent before us get their children to study hard, get good grades and a good job, you will have a good life if not wealthy.   But don't get me wrong. This method of acquiring wealth is good. In fact, I also get my children to follow it. But ultimately, you cannot expect your current salary/income to carry you to wealth.  Developing Long Term Goals  Having & practising good investment habits   How do you develop a long term goal/mindset ? The first step is to understand you need to practice good investment habits. Ask yourself these 3 questions:    1) Do I have goals to achieve to become wealthy through investing/trading in the stock market ? If yes, what are they ? ____________________________ ____________________________   2) Do I have the right skill & knowledge to achieve them ? ____________________________ ____________________________   3) If not, what are my limitations and how are they preventing me from achieveing these goals ? ____________________________________      Forward me a copy of your answer to the above questions.   I'm happy to provide you feedbacks on how you are progressing in your path of achieving your goals.
